Thread: "We" won the cup

I never say we either. People say, 'well, Im a fan and pay their salary'. True but I also love In-and-Out burgers alot and pay their salaries but you never hear me,or anyone for that matter, say 'Wow !!! We came out with a new amazing burger.'

Id love my name on the Cup though

I try to avoid using we. As the OP stated, some of us have been around longer (in my case a lot longer) than anyone in the entire Kings organization. In some ways, I believe the Kings winning the Cup meant more to me than to some of the players involved. It is hard to explain exactly why. A lot of it would have to do with the amount of time invested.

Isn't it great that "we" can have this discussion about "our" team. "I" am a huge fan of the team and no matter the amount of different pronouns used, "they" won the Cup and "we" are finally happy.

Last time I checked the name of the team is still the Los Angeles Kings. Until it becomes renamed the Anschutz Kings I will use "we" whenever it suits me. That's the deal.

Never understood the "we" thing. I've been a fan since 1973, but never felt like a part of the actual team. If I were invited into the locker room or the board room, I'd hardly feel like I belonged . . . in fact, I'd most definitely feel like an outsider.
