Thread: "We" won the cup

It's no different than when "we" were all in school and referred to the team winning as "we" won...even if we weren't on the team. The City is just a bigger version of the school. They wear Los Angeles Kings sweaters. They play for the City that I was born and raised in. Therefore, they are representing me. I take it as...we as a City won.


Anyway, I always thought this discussion was lame because everyone is going to do what they are going to do.

I dont care what anyone says, its we for me.

I have no problem saying WE and I think that anyone who does just doesn't get it.

I've gotten out of the habit for the most part, but it still bothers me to no end when you get the smartass response when someone says it "Ooooh I'm sorry do you play for the team?!? What position? Derp-a-doo!" No one is claiming they are a part of the team, it's a ****ing common figure of speech in sports. Leave it alone.

This thread is pretty much scraping the bottom of the offseason barrel.

I'll say "We" when people say "We" when referring to the police and fire depts or city council. Heck, we vote for politicians, our taxes pay their salaries. they work and protect our cities. I'll also say "We" about the public libraries. WE are open on Sunday ! Yay !!!!

My hard earned money goes to pay their salaries... I think I am entitled to a "We" moment.
