Thread: That Weird Spot in the Ice at Staples

Ya I was up high on Monday and my eyes could not stop staring!! It was just an eye sore :(

From Joe, the guy that works on the ice and nets during intermission.

There was an issue during the lockout where the ice melted in that particular spot and we had to repaint and refill the area. Was prolly due to a concert

I can find both pretty easily.

Markm did a good job of explaining how they make the rink, but what I am guessing here is the ice crew (or whoever fixed it) used cold water when making the patch, that will cause the cloudiness I see in the pictures.

I was going to say portal to hell.

We had a warm spot in the floor in the house and we called it the portal to hell. It was actually electrical wires arcing under the concrete slab.
