We're SOOOOOO Over the Cup...
According to Patrick O'Neil (the official FSW hockey expert), the Kings' cup hangover is officially over, as of tonight's win. As such, we need to start ridding ourselves of all things that remind us and the players, of the cup win, until such time as we are either in the playoffs, or seriously contending for the cup again.
Therefore I call, on behalf of Patrick O'Neil, Dean Lombardi, Darryl Sutter, Bob Miller, Don Cherry and the Gods of Hockey (and the guys who lug around the Stanley Cup), for the following:
-no more <player's> day with the cup episodes sandwiching the games on FSW
-no more discussing the cup with players
-no more discussions of cup hangover on this site or by the media
-no more signatures with pictures or references to the cup
-don't wear your cup ring (except at the game against the ducks, and only if your name is Jim Fox)
-don't wear cup-related gear
-don't buy cup-related gear
The cup never happened. The hangover is over, as of right now.
