No, you figured right. They just couldn't put it up there until the game was over. I enjoyed taking the pictures of the banner right in front of my section (304) before it gets moved to the other side.
Ahhhhhh. There it is. I couldn't see to the right side of the jumbo tron. I only saw the jersey's with their ugly numbers. I don't get that, why not use the authentic numbers for the jersey? Might as well just put all the jerseys in black or something. Seems really strange.

i should add that i'm REALLY glad they raised the banner in the spot they raised it in because initially when i got to my seat in section 208, i looked at the other banners and jerseys that had been unfurled and i thought to myself "F***!" because the jumbotron obscured the view of where it was supposed to go so i figured i was only gonna be able to see it on the first half of its journey into the rafters. instead, i got to see it raised on my side of the stadium and instead of being upset about the poop on ice, i gazed up longingly and lovingly at that banner with a stupid smile on my face. so while some of my caps fan friends are cracking wise about me witnessing a s***ty match, i'm thinking to them "but you just don't know!" haha.
