    Default Western Conference Champions Banner?

    Are we not raising one for winning the conference? Or when does that go up?

    It's up there. They showed it on the telecast. White banner with "2011-2012 Western Conference Champions" on it.

    ya... it was over with the Smythe Banner and the Campbell Conference Banner.

    Why are the retired numbers all generic looking? Those letters and numbers look NOTHING like what the Kings have worn in the past. They better rectify this mistake, it's absolutely embarrassing.

    I figured the Cup banner would go next to theWestern Conference banner and the Canadian flag. The placement of the Cup banner was a pleasant surprise.

    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

    The old ones looked like the actual era-specific jersey for the player being honored. The new ones use a generic font for all the jersey banners. It doesn't look right to me.

    ya, i think it looks better, more cohesive, when they're all the same font. they honored the eras in which the players played by having the jerseys be the color of the respective era. personally, i think it's done just right.
