I'd give up my Klondike Bar.

No offense was meant, and I apologize if any was taken.

I personally hate the Brown contract more and more with each passing day.
Brown is the captain of this team, and Richards is the "sort-of" captain, right? So when those two guys are playing terribly/being invisible, I think that's a REALLY big part of the problem. Richards I'm not worried about as I feel confident that he will get things turned around. Brown I wonder about sometimes.

it's definitely the system. love it or hate it it's gotten the kings a cup and a trip to the Western Finals where they loss to the eventual winners. its successful, but other teams have gotten better and i dont think this team can beat the hawks unless brown goes beast mode again....

You could probably talk MitchRock into taking it.

Richards looks like absolute dog **** this year.
Brown too but at least he's been trying harder the last few games.

I watched the whole game with the Nucks at Anaheim it's it's freakish how differently that team (ANA) plays. First period was nothing special the 2nd and 3rd and OT the Ducks were just relentless with offensive pressure. 0 D to speak of almost like sustained offensive pressure is their defensive strategy. Even double shifting their Getz / Perry / Penner line to tie it up and win it in OT.

I get the defense first, net out, built for the playoffs model philosophy, but can't there be a happy medium? The Ducks were crushing the Nucks with hits too. Just owning them physically in the 2nd and 3rd.
I don't know what could have been done strategically better tonight. I was at that game it it didn't feel like a loss until that SO game winner. We totally dominated that team and lost.

Boudreau coached teams are 20-24 in the postseason overall and 2-5 in seven postseason series.
I refuse to get on board with Duck envy until they prove they aren't all sizzle and no steak in the postseason. They are 10x more fun to watch and a much better regular season team, but that really doesn't mean anything to me.
I think they'd beat Vancouver in a 7-game series, but don't think they'd beat San Jose, LA, Chicago or St. Louis. We'll see.

The Kings remind me of those real estate guys in Glengarry Glen Ross.
They try to sell, oh they try, but they can't finish. They can't close the deal.
They need to learn their ABCs.
Always Be Closing!

Lombardi is paying Brown for the last 5 years he played. It's a ridiculous contract for the next 5 and should never have been inked. I would trade him for some scoring in a heartbeat.
