Hopefully Staubitz is in the lineup tonight. We'll need to be tougher against a team like the queens

For me, I dig it. It gets the rivalry hyped and hopefully gets some emotions going. I have always thought the Ducks have backed off the trash talk and rivalry issue too much.
I want to see elevated emotions, trash talk, grit and passion. I want it to get dirty, I want blood. THAT is a rivalry. Simply being down the 5 Freeway, isnt a rivalry.*
-The Ducks will need to actually start this one on time. I'm hoping that the Kings return to form is actually nothing more than them having played the dregs of the conference.*
-I think this will be a tough game. The Kings have been pretty good lately. This isn't a game I think the Ducks can go down 0-2 and come back to win. They have got to stop crapping the bed in the 1st.
-Should be a good game, kings are starting to play good and the ducks are on the back end of b2b.

-Funny. You guys are bashing Kings fans for wanting our guys to get injured and at the same time saying "dress Staubitz so he can jump someone."

1. Stoll initiated it, we are in a retaliatory position
2. Stoll threw a cheap shot resulting in a concussion to our best defenseman
3. The league decided not to police the situation
So now the team must police it on the ice.
-And that makes it less hypocritical? Yea... no.*
Stoll made a stupid play that resulted in an injury. Get over it. The best thing the Ducks could do is go out there and win the game. You want to get even? Do it on the scoreboard.

-Challenging stoll to a fight does/means absolutely nothing.*
Just like when they played the Blues during the play-offs, and had their scrub dwight king run Alex Pietrangelo, what exactly was served by challenging king to a fight?? AP was still injured, and losing king for 5 doesn't hurt their team one iota.*
Maybe you'd like to see Fowler run again, just to get a power play, score, and win the game...but I'd rather we ice some people that put the fear of God into the other team, and make them think twice about throwing ANY heavy hits, especially with how great our PP has been.
-Sadly, I don't think we have the players to do that anymore, the Kings are a tougher and bigger team than us ATM. A Beleskey - Stoll fight is propably what's gonna happen.
-And a Beleskey/stoll fight basically gives their team the green light to do the same thing over and over until the League says enough...you get to sit for 1 game. We were lucky Fowler wasn't hurt worse. Next time we may not be so lucky. And if being beat on by huge, hulking Beleskey is all the punishment that they have to fear, it WILL happen again.
-It'll be interesting to see if Stoll has the class to accept a challenge from Maroon (I'd prefer Beleskey stays on the ice the way he's been playing).*
It'll also be interesting to see if the PP is as effective against the Kings as it was in the last game.
-I just hope we beat the hell out of them both physically and on the scoreboard.
-Yeah if we actually dressed both Maroon and Staubitz we'd be on par with most Western teams in toughness department.

-Dude, they are a physical team. No doubt. They might not have the biggest and baddest fighters, but they wouldn't have won that cup if they weren't physical.
-I didn't say that they weren't a physical team. I'm saying that they do a **** job of parlaying that into dominant hockey. Boston does it. I've never seen the Kings get into another team's heads like that team does.

-They beat those teams, but not because they BEAT(punchy/hitty) those teams.
-Agreed. A reasonable argument can be made that they trivialized the St. Louis series by the cheap shot on Pietrangelo though

-That Cheapshot changed the series. The Blues had just won a hard fought series( literally ), and had lost their #1 goalie to injury. AP was their best D-man, and was showing the ability to become the game changer St. Louis hopes he will be. Having a pos scrub "accidently" run him from behind, knocking him out for a couple of*games, seems to be right out of their "game plan playbook".
-Lol, who said I was afraid? They're a big bruising team who like to hit and grind it out and we are not, that's all I'm saying. Plus they have a few guys who can handle themselves in a fight (Clifford, Nolan). Overall they're tougher than us.

I hope its an exciting/fun/physical game and the Ducks come out on top. If their fans want to act like the classless bunch a lot of them are and say they should take out the Ducks or Stoll should hit Fowler again then so be it. That is their style. Always has been always will be.
-Kings are a very physical team, but it is not like they have 2-3 Thornton type players out there. We have as much size as they do, finish our checks, and as many guys who will drop them if need be. We play a bit more speed, forechecking game now, and they are a grind it out team (like old Carlyle)
It should be a great game. I am calling 2-1 (hopefully Ducks).
Even if Staubitz is not in there, you will see Stoll fight someone....at least someone will probably try. My guess is it is either Winnick or Beleskey. Outside chance Maroon.
-Can't wait to see all those Oscar worthy dives/embellishments from the Queens.
-Kings are missing 3 starters on D still and Ellerby is coming back down to earth... Doughty still has zero goals lol at his comments...

Tonight will be in the hands of the refs as usual... Kopitar has yet to find his stride and let's hope it stays that way......
Tonight would be a good test for Lovejoy..I wouldn't mind sitting fowler, back to back games against the kings is a little much to ask of the kid coming off a concussion*
