I wanted to like this post, but I didn't because that would mean that I'm liking that hockey isn't returning. However, your statement is true, so I'm agreeing with your post. It's too bad the NHL and NHLPA don't realize that the NHL is dead now because of them. Instead of splitting 3.3 billion dollars, they'll be splitting less than half of that. Hell, they'll be lucky if they make even half of $3.3 billion.Quote:

I sincerely hope attendance and sponsorship is down dramatically league wide when they come back. Maybe then they'll both realize that the single most important factor in all this is the fan. Without the fan the seat is empty, the player doesn't get his pay, and the owner doesn't get his profit. Not since I became a fan back in '02 have I cared less about the NHL.
Attendance WILL be down. You can consider the Coyotes and Panthers dead right now. They will not survive another season. I'm sure the Devils and Stars will be the next to die also. gary buttheadman's plan to put hockey teams in the sunbelt states has failed, and failed miserably. As for sponsorships, those are already long gone.Quote:
