You can tell theguys who have been playing, for the most part, from the guys who haven't. Brown being a notable exception.

I was honestly expecting a much worse whoopin' considering the talent Edmonton has, but it turned out I underestimated their ability to match us stupid for stupid. The ending was so reminiscent of the Stars game from November 2011, the only way it was better was Ribeiro and Ott weren't involved.
I get it, the Kings don't rely on elite scoring talent to win games, they need to play a perfect team game, five man unit, all that rah rah. I'll continue to patiently wait for them to regain their timing and trust to form their Cup-winning Voltron form of defense and timely offense. I figured they wouldn't even start getting that feel back 'til January was done with. I was worried how Quick would play after his surgery but he's getting better every game, and I thought he was close to midseason form tonight. So at least I can check that off the **** to Worry About list. Richards has been in the right place so many times the past 2 games, but just couldn't connect to knock in the puck. The results aren't there yet, but I'm not too worried about him. Williams looks out of sync, but he's effective in such subtle ways it's hard for me to tell if he's seriously off or close to effective.
I have no logic to back this up but I think the Hockey Gods will smile on us and give us a totally undeserved lucky win against either Phoenix or Vancouver. But not both. And then a loser charity point against Nashville. So in 1 week I'm expecting a record of 1-3-2. But I'll be happy to be proven wrong. Sigh, Kings hockey...
The effort so far this season, to me, almost come across as entitled.
This is looking like proof that somehow having the same players, isn't always having the same team. This is NOT the same team from last postseason. We were unable to close the game, unable to score on the power play, then once Edmonton had momentum, we completely folded.
We are lacking much more than cohesion from the late start. Where has Brown been? Richards? Where is the desire?
We look satisfied.
Have to say from my eyes that Richards is having a tough time getting back into 100% game condition
Not sure what his lockout training regime was but it certainly doesn't seem to have him ready to go
Last night he had 2 or 3 good looks to shoot only to fumble the puck or have the wrong body shape, if I remember he also had a pretty good look at an Empty Netter that managed to get blocked, that goes in we are all talking about building momentum etc etc rather than the sky is falling
If we are still bottom of the standings in the 2nd week of Feb then I am worrying
The main thing that bothers me about our offense is the fact that I watch other teams with what I would consider lesser talent scoring 4 goals a game, but we struggle to get 1. I just don't understand why.
Stoll fell down on the game tying goal and then causes the OT penalty as well. Couldn't help but think that he should have gotten a 1 yr deal likePenner
Kopi is still carrying the knee injury, he has come back to soon, the only good things are he is in good enough shape to play through it and he is young enough to rebound quickly from it.
Richards...To much tequila in the off season ??? Who the hell knows.
Brown...Beats me...I thought he had his wake up call last year....When has a Captain been traded from the SC champions team the following season ?
Right now, the team is playing like it did in the TM era...Now the question is, how long until DS blows his cool ? I give them until the second home game, if the team has pulled their collective heads out then they better get ready to puke on the ice, the bag runs are coming.
I personally like that second line with Clifford. Richards will have to wake up at some point, and Gagne needs to be in there somewhere.
