I get it, the Kings don't rely on elite scoring talent to win games, they need to play a perfect team game, five man unit, all that rah rah. I'll continue to patiently wait for them to regain their timing and trust to form their Cup-winning Voltron form of defense and timely offense. I figured they wouldn't even start getting that feel back 'til January was done with. I was worried how Quick would play after his surgery but he's getting better every game, and I thought he was close to midseason form tonight. So at least I can check that off the **** to Worry About list. Richards has been in the right place so many times the past 2 games, but just couldn't connect to knock in the puck. The results aren't there yet, but I'm not too worried about him. Williams looks out of sync, but he's effective in such subtle ways it's hard for me to tell if he's seriously off or close to effective.
I have no logic to back this up but I think the Hockey Gods will smile on us and give us a totally undeserved lucky win against either Phoenix or Vancouver. But not both. And then a loser charity point against Nashville. So in 1 week I'm expecting a record of 1-3-2. But I'll be happy to be proven wrong. Sigh, Kings hockey...
