Friday night is also the Echoes of Hope (Luc's charity) fundraiser/poker tournament. While the playing in the tournament can be kinda pricey ($500 donation and a $100 buy-in), the pre-party is only a $50 donation and includes food and drink (beer and wine IIRC).

According to the woman in charge of the Echoes of Hope pre-party they may not do it if there is no frozen fury since a lot of the players are signing contracts in Europe. I'm hoping they still do it, great deal plus it goes to charity.

I bet for the first time last year, even though I've been going for years. I'm actually thinking of not cashing in though. It was a $20 bet and I'm only getting back $120. Not that it isn't a lot of money, but I had that ticket on my desk and touched it before every playoff game. Something about it just seems like I shouldn't get rid of it.

Group of 30 or so of us are going regardless if there is hockey or not!!

Only 10 more days to go until Vegas without FF.I'll miss going through the Gauntlet to the MGM Garden Arena,but there's always next year.

I may end up going still, of course visiting the Hoff on Friday, and going to the Global Rally Cross racing event Saturday night.

Trying to gauge interest in a party on Saturday evening-- 6-9ish at Tabu. We'd have drinks (beer and wine) and some passed appetizers like we usually do for the pre-party of poker tournament. Thinking of having Luc and maybe another alum or two come out to celebrate cup/commiserate about no hockey??

Tickets would be $50 to cover hosted food/drinks then we could go to cash bar if we reached limit.

Already canceled my hotel. Oh well. Was gonna be my 1st FF too.

Bought my FF ticket thru Ticketmaster by way of the Kings' website. According to TM, refund of cancelled events is automatic. Probably still going to Vegas but will try to change to a less expensive hotel. MGM was more expensive but it was the extreme convenience of being in the same building as FF and all that. Normally I'm a downtowner so we'll see if I can get something there. Will be watching this thread to see if anyone puts together a get-together, maybe at Hofbrau House or whatever.

I'll be there Friday thru Monday. Hoff on Friday. Might go to Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson on Saturday or I might go to Echoes of Hope thingy. The options are limitless! :drinking:
