Thread: Whose contract would you buy-out?

Assuming there is a one time buy out if and when the season resumes, who would you buy out on the Kings? The first player that comes to mind is Penner, but he was huge for the Kings in the playoffs.

Why would you buy Penner out? He has a one year contract w/ a cap hit of 3.25 million. That's pretty damn fair especially since its only one year. Replace him w/ who?

I'd have to see what the new salary structure was and what provisions will be in place for existing contracts before I could even begin to answer this question, but I can say with plenty of certainty that a player on a one-year deal worth $3.25 million wouldn't even be in the Top 10 I'd consider in a "one-time buyout".

A buy out for one member of the team that just steam rolled the best in the NHL during the play offs and SCF....I pass.
