Thread: Why is Gagne not playing?

Because he was just traded to the Flyers for a 4th

Sutter is keeping Gagne fresh so he is ready for the Stanley Cup Finals.

some people are picking them, not sure why but they still are. Now with Gagne they are a lock.

only if they switch coaches. everyone knows the winning recipe to win the cup is

1)pick up an ex-flyer
2)fire coach

Proved valuable in WHAT playoffs? Maybe the 2010 playoffs with Philly and/or the 2011 playoffs with Tampa, but don't see how those are particularly relevant. In 2012, he played only in the last four games of the SCF, averaging slightly over 8 minutes of ice time per game, having no goals or assists, and with a -1. I don't that can reasonably be called "valuable." As for injuries, Gagne was the ONLY King player to suffer a significant injury last season, missing the majority of the regular season and 75% of the playoffs.

I could see him getting moved around the trade deadline if someone is looking for a rent-a-player with his skill set and is willing to give DL a decent return (i.e., something along the lines of the random scrub and 4th round pick TB gave to Philly for him). Otherwise he'll be walking at the end of the season.

EDIT: Of course...as I was typing this, the trade got posted.... LOL!

Because we wanted to trade him before he injured himself.
