Thread: The All Inclusive Bash Gary Bettman Thread (Merged)

This is the face of the NHL (including fans) that everyone would sure just love to punch him like a punching/speed bag.



He becomes commissioner of NHL in 1993

Since then, there has been 3 NHL lockouts due to him.

He is not a fan favorite due the lockouts and he knows this. He get booed anywhere he appears at, either the NHL Draft, when to handout the Stanley Cup, or other appearances.

He has made pretty bad, if not real bad, decisions on where new expansion of an NHL team may end-up...particularly by him putting teams in the south, where they struggle for fans more so than not.

So why Bettman stick around for? why can't he just do us all fans and so forth a favor, and leave the game?

Does anyone know who G. Bettman's boss is? This guy needs to go.

This guy just sticks around for the money that he gets because he earns more and more every year.

To the owners and Bettman of the NHL:

What a bunch of greedy bastards you are. You really don't care about the sport of hockey, the players and their families, the vendors and their livelihoods, the hundreds of thousands of people who work in relation to the game if hockey, least of all the fans. You try to sell us on the fact that you think you're losing money. Which is in fact not true. After the last lockout, you have seen the profits improve and fan base growing. So you raised prices on tickets, merchandising, concessions, takin portions of all those profits and now you want more? What a load of BS. Once this deal is signed, you'll do exactly that. Raise all of the prices again. And ultimately you gouge the fans who have been loyal to you even after you don't deserve it.

We have no choice as fans to accept the higher ticket prices, but you shouldn't be the ones stealing all the profits from the players, and all of the workers associated with the games by those increased revenues.
What happens during the next contract dispute? Do you argue your profit increases another 24%? And the next time? Do you keep arguing the percentage of profits until the players have nothing left and you have everything? That's exactly what you will do. Because that's exactly who you are, greedy bastards who's only care is lining your own pockets at the expense of everyone else associated with the game.

We are all sickened by it and you. It's too bad we can't lock you out. Too bad we can't start another league, and start using other arenas, and watch you fail.

The game of hockey doesn't need you to survive. It needs us; the players, the workers, and the fans. And all of us loathe you for doing this.

There's a new movie in Hollywood coming out soon. It's just simply called Despicable, and ironically, it's about you.

Someone on FB posted that Bettman is thinking of using replacement players for the beginning part of the season. My first thought was how ****ing ****ty would that be for us fans, and for the Kings players to have the Stanley Cup Banner raised with scabs on the ice. That would be the worst of both worlds.

At first I was going to agree with you until I thought of the ONE Excpection....MIDGET Replacements. Have a midget version of each player there and raise a midget Stanley Cup Banner raised. I'd risk jinxing the Kings to see that game live.

I've spent a lot of time thinking in order to come up with something articulate regarding how I feel about Bettman.

Here it goes:

Bettman is a retart.

If they get SCABS, how will that affect season tickets? Will we get another option on what to do?
