Columbus still has that twit running the show, any other city he would have shown the door years ago. 5 years and all he has to show is one playoff appearance and plenty of embarrassment.

Am I the only one that thinks the Edmonton Oiler blueline actually got worse after that trade?

To me, Tom Gilbert is a decent #4, while Nick Schultz is a solid 3rd pairing guy. Very much in the mold of Filip Kuba.

I don't really understand what Tambellini is doing.

Nope but I don't think he makes that statement if Nash's agent didn't get involved by publicly stating the list of teams that Nash would accept a trade to will NOT increase come this summer.

That statement ties Howson's hands, publicly. So Howson fired back.

Once again, the Blue Jackets fan base suffers in the end.

He ran out of injured palyers to trade, so he wasn't sure what to do.

i think it's a good deal both ways... i like Gilbert to the Wild a bit better. but he gets paid an awful lot for the next two years.

i just saw a snip of Tambellini's presser where he talked about Hemsky being the number one priority, and talking about going into the deadline, losing "that skill," and having to replace it. WOW! has it not dawned on him that he's about to likely draft one of two VERY skilled Russian kids in June?

he should have dealt BOTH Hemsky and Gagne.

... and when you go and look at the Oilers' fan's reaction to the Hemsky signing on HF, i'm amazed that they've been able to convince themselves that $10 Million over 2-years for Ales is even remotely good... on ANY level.
