If the boys make it through, I'd rather play the rags. They play similar to the Yotes, and the Kings are ready for that.
Hope it goes seven. Some long OT games would help, too. I want whoever is left standing beaten to hell when hopefully facing the Kings or even if it is the Yotes. It'd be nice to see a new team win the Cup even if it isn't the Kings.
Hate to say it...and I mean this with the utmost respect, as a Devils fan I want a shot at the Kings. Even if it's four and out, I want to see how my team matches up. I would like to be the first team to really test you guys. Maybe we will get a chance to see that.
Oh sure...it's all fun and games till someone loses a Cup.
I really don't want to see Brodeur joining Roy in my nightmares for the next 19 years.
I wouldn't mind facing NJ in the next round. I respect Brodeur and his first ballot hall of fame a** but he's lost a step and I think he'd get whipped against the Kings. I know it sound like smack talking. Not trying to be an idiot, I just think their defense will get exposed and the pressure the Kings can put on them will wear them down quick. Still in all, for them to get to the Cup finals would be quite an achievement.
As for NY, I'm nervous about their defense as well as Lundqvist. I would still say the Kings take it in 6 games, but their defense and goaltending will give the Kings a lot of problems.
