Allan Walsh Comes to Defense of Derrick Brassard
Player agent Walsh slams Blue Jackets' Arniel in statement
I don't mind hearing someone who is an Agent of a pro athlete speak-up for his player.
Derrick Brassard may be a 1st rnd. pick in 06'. This guy does have potential to be a top 6 player one the CBJ. But go back to 09' he missed an incredible amount of games in reg. season (50 games), PLUS, 4 playoffs games. As posted already by somebody on the TSN.ca board about this subject is right about saying "The Blue Jackets track record in player development is probably the worst in the league. Other than Rick Nash, I can't think of a single player they have successfully developed to his full potential." That may be the case because I can't think of one either. So is Derrick Brassard really to blame? Because with Derrick Brassard missing time in 2009 hurts his development, for which could take him more time to develop as a player, especially when CBJ don't have a good track record of developing players in their system. Not to forget to mention- Brassard averages about 13min. a game, but been playing mainly on the 4th line.
Even if Brassard is being shopped around the NHL, there is not much room for a center, if considering to be top 6 maybe.
Discuss!!!

I was Arniel, after this I might bench him for 10 games.
