I will say that even though he gets a lot of hate, I love Pierre McGuire.

Yeah, he did fudge a lot of names.
what i want is all Razor doing color all the time.
I'm on board with that. I was hoping to get him in the current series but we got stuck with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
I'm happy NBC was smart enough to move the games to CNBC instead of NBCSC which I don't get.
Now everybody can watch.
Well...you hate my beloved Doc but you love Pierre 'is that Crosby's pube in my teeth' Maguire. I get how Doc can be grating to folks, but at least he is pretty impartial. Maguire FAWNS over certain players and is entirely unprofessional. Kind of invalidates your opinion.
Are you aware that Pierre's job is to add colo(u)r to the game and not be an impartial robot? His opinions, agree with them or not, are generally knowledgable. He obviously goes over the top sometimes, but that's life. Find me a colour guy who doesn't do it.
He can be aggravating but he is generally entertaining and that's kind of the point of his job.
Yes, your point about color vs calling the game is valid...where we disagree is on Maguire's aggravating to entertaining ratio. In my opinion he comes off as an unapologetic fanboy of certain players to the point of working them into the conversation when they aren't even playing. It's like he could be interviewing...let's use Luongo(since that is your team)...here's a hypothetical sample,
Maguire: 'Good game so far Loo, you really weathered the storm in that second period'
Luongo: 'Yeah, the Coyotes really came at us hard and a few of those shots I didn't even get to see...'
Maguire: 'yeah, so what do you think Sidney Crosby is doing for mother's day?'
It's an over the top example...but not ridiculously so.
