Im trying! The only thing I can compare these last 3 years to is being like a beaten spouse that keeps on returning to bad relationship out of love... only to get kicked in the gut again, and again, and again.

As disgruntled as I am right now, Ill be back for another beating next season for sure.
I wouldn't say last year was exactly a beating, they had a very exciting year, won the division, made the final 4, and only lost to the cup champs.

Hockey wise, they had a GREAT year.

What has been a beating so far is free agency, especially if Doan leaves.

I said it before but that was a great hockey atmosphere in the playoffs and it was louder than New Jersey.

However, I think he was more irritated when "TGO" was running the show there more than he is now. There really isn't much you can do so why get upset? Enjoy the games while you can...and even if they move you can watch, right? There is plenty you can subscribe to on TV.

True. I love the hockey with all my heart. It's the part of not knowing if these are the final games Ill be able to watch my team play in that makes it rough for me. Unfortunately it's always in the back of my mind. Wish I could just shake it, chalk it up to things I cant control, I just enjoy the game. I cant do it though. I could still watch them play from afar in Seattle or Quebec City, but it's never going to feel like it's my team again.

Im just soooo tired of this ownership process... cities have their teams ripped from them all the time, but it's usually a one year period of unknowns before ownership rips off the bandaid so to speak (see Thrashers). To have this drag out for nearly 4 years now is absurd.

On the ice, this was the greatest Coyotes team I've had the the pleasure to watch. A bunch of scrappy players that came together and just out worked everyone else. No stars, just a bunch of guys that bought in to a great coaches system.

Off the ice, it was a clusterf*&$ once again. And Im used to the FA beatings, it's been that way for 3 years in a row. However Im confident that whatever roster is thrown out there that Tippett can make them competitive. Solid in goal and solid on the blue line... just gotta figure out who is gonna do the scoring. We need more than just Vrbata to succeed.

Just read an article that said the one Doan was waiting on was the one they are saying they have until the 16th. They said the one already turned in just muddies the water. Sounds like this is going to take a while to play out. Doan may wait a while before making a decision.

If he doesn't stay in PHX, it is tough to picture where he would go. LA is logical because it is close to PHX (family) and they are contenders but he will have a good selection of teams to choose from. Although he is a fit for Detroit, I don't really see Detroit as a fit for him for some reason.

    Quick update...

Nothing really new in the last month, other than the NHL extending their ownership of the team for another 30 days while they try to finish off the sale to the Jamison Group. However, a report did surface last week stating that Jamison was 20 million short of the NHL's 170 million asking price for the Coyotes

In Doan news, he was in Vancouver visiting with the Canucks yesterday.

I'm sorry, I just have a very hard time believing even if Jamison finds the money that we won't see everything crumble sooner or later. I mean, sure, the cost to actually purchase the team. What about the costs each year to maintain the team? I would predict if Jamison manages to gain the funding and take the team within 3-4 seasons they'll be bankrupt or rife with investors wanting to pull out.

Last time I saw a person buy a team right after scraping together money and investors it was McCourt and the Dodgers. We know how that ended.

If it's true this guy is still trying to "scrounge up" a few extra million at this point the NHL should just walk away because it'll never work. Then again...this is the NHL. The same league that approved Bruce McFraud and John Spano (on the Island) as owners.

If Jamison is short on the $, then I totally agree. Move the team and just get it over with. Jamison is the last chance Glendale has to keep the team anyways. Why waste more time?

I cant imagine that report is true though, it just doesnt make sense to me. Why would the NHL continue to fight to keep the team in AZ, and why would Jamison continue to put himself through all the legal battles of the last few months if he never had the money to begin with?

Its more likely that some of his investors may have put their cash to use in the meantime expecting a longer battle. It could be simply a question of the investor not being liquid. These groups are hard to pull together for that reason.
Also could be that one of his investors had a really bad day at the office as well...
