Until the next lawsuit, but hey if Jamison can get his deal done maybe the NHL will lose their vote on the CBA talks.
Yup! Im sure we haven't seen the last of the court room drama...
And Jamison still have to come together to figure out when they can get this deal signed. Things had been at a standstill for awhile now because Glendale wouldn't officially sign the lease deal until Jamison actually purchased the team, and Jamison wouldn't officially buy the team until Glendale finalized the lease with him. One of the sides is gonna have give in on that demand.
Finally the Lockout is over... and we can all get back to pressuring the league to move the Coyotes back to Canada again! :drinks: Glad to be back talking hockey. This has been a LONG off-season.
Now for the Coyotes news you all have been clamoring for... Jamison is meeting with Bettman & Daly late this week or early next week to discuss the deal. Jamison expects to have the sale completed by the January 31st deadline.
Where have we heard this before... :bangin:
One of the strangest franchise stories in the history of team sports, that's for sure.
Deadline to get a deal done with the City of Glendale is now 4 days away...
My gut is telling me the Jamison does not have enough money himself, and his having trouble finding investors willing to pony up the remaining dough. Even if the deadline passes and the deal is dead, Im guessing the NHL wont announce anything in regards to relocation until the end of the season. Attempting to avoid 3 months of a lame duck home team for the remainder of the season.
I think your gut is right.
I've been saying it since mid-December, if he's got the investors, why doesn't he just do the deal already?
He doesn't have the investors or the money.
It's a shame, because I want Phoenix to stay in Phoenix. It's a close venue for the Kings, and will cut down on travel time if they stay. But they are gone after this season, probably to Quebec, I would imagine.
Seattle Coyotes ? Maybe they can be the Seattle Jets to go with the new SuperSonics. Oh wait...
Still think Winnipeg should have gone with Falcons.
I hope the Desert Dogs stay in the Valley of the Sun. I think it can succeed if they show a commitment to staying in the desert. Lots of snow birds.
