I agree with you about the traffic, just coming from the airport at 2:30pm was a challenge to get to the arena for a concert back in December. It took at least 50 minutes to get there and that was just the beginning of rush hour.
Great for the football stadium because games are mostly on Sunday. If the stadium was in downtown, I believe the fan attendance would be more than adequate. It is a shame because I enjoy going out there for games especially during Spring Training because you can get a double dose of sports, baseball and beers in the afternoon and then Kings and Coyotes and more beers in the evening.
CBC is reporting deal fell thru..
CBC Sports - Greg Jamison's bid to buy Coyotes falls apart: sources
fillet of duck mmmm!
I think they're done in Phoenix.
Greg Jamison, main suitor of Phoenix Coyotes, can't produce capital to purchase team, according to sources - ESPN
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Game over it appears...
It's a sick feeling knowing the team you love is packing up and leaving. I guess the only good part is that I've been mentally preparing myself for this for about the last 4 years. I still feel like vomiting none the less.
Oh this can't really be done yet. I was hoping one day my grandson could have the opportunity to purchase the Coyotes from the NHL and have the pleasure of knowing the Glendale City Council
Jamison requests an extension... Glendale Mayor says no.

After all this time, and all these spurned suitors, you have to think that there is no feasible way to get a deal done in the desert.
They should have let Basille do this in the first place.
Move them east, and swap them with the Jets.
Kind of a bummer. I somewhat enjoyed my road trip for the WCF, and my brother and I were planning on jaunting out there for games more often.
