Thread: Avs to retire Forsbergs number tonight

Say what you want about the Avs but this guy could play some hockey.

Remember when Norstrom kicked his spleen straight out of his body? They going to retire that too?

I thought it was later proven that it wasn't Norstrom who was responsible for the hit that caused Forsberg to get his spleen removed.

Someone mentioned recently on here that it was Smolinski. I can't remember what actually happened though. Christ, it was a decade ago.

Interesting though that the Kings were the Avs' toughest opponent that year. Sure, the Devils took them to 7 as well but they didn't have to deal with Forsberg.

They should retire Deadmarsh's number but put like a cheeseburger on the banner instead of his number
