    I saw the first commercial and seriously I thought it was going to turn left into "grab some buds" but overall well done

    I'll miss last the History will be made stuff, that was really good. Can't wait to see where they go with this one.

    On the promotional side, while the league has been protective of how it permits sponsors and even licensees to use Stanley Cup images, during this postseason, 4,000 bars across the U.S. and 2,500 in Canada will be drawing Molson Canadian and Coors Light draft with Stanley Cup tap handles.

    I gotta say, most of the "History Will Be Made" were really good and made me want to see them again. Some of them even gave me chills. This new campaign is kinda "meh" to me.

    I agree with this, however it does have potential to be great depending on where they go with it. If they incorporate things players have done and stuff like that it could be great.

    It's designed to appeal to "casual fans". They admit that. By definition it's bound to have a certain "milquetoast" quality to it.

    I really don't mind this first commercial. It's obviously for casual fans and that's okay. They have to attract new viewers somehow and I like that they're focusing on the Cup to do that. It's a good campaign.

    The second TV spot showing all the strange places the Cup has been should be a good one.

    I like the print ads featuring various players as well. They make for some good parodies, which is always a plus.

    I think they should have hired Sutter to do the voice over. At the very least it would create an internet stir of comments like "WTF was that?"

    That first commercial sucks. What casual fan is going to be excited by THAT? If it can't make hardcore fans excited, how is it going to do it to casual fans??
