Dino was convicted and did a day in jail for this one. I'll always remember him for this- I never realized he scored 600

But that's the thing. I don't think they wanted to put him in then because it would seem like it was only for sentimental reasons. How much uproar would there be about him not being included if he wasn't sick? I just think they want to make sure they're thinking with their brains and not their hearts.

The numbers for Burns speak for themselves, which I believe I have repeated in the past:

1 Cup win, 1 Cup finalist, 2 Conference Finals (taking Toronto from a laughing stock to a Cup contender), 1 QMJHL Championship (w/Luc as his top scorer), 501 wins (.573 winning %)

Sixth in playoff games coached 149 and eighth in playoff wins with 78.

Perestroika didn't get installed in the neighborhood fast enough, huh?

Perestroika did, but Glasnost didn't and they had the exclusive deal at the time.

Take a look at the selection committee, way too many "old boys club and cronies" on the list:

Jim Gregory, Pat Quinn, Scotty Bowman, Bill Torrey, Colin Campbell and Harry Sinden.

Only 7 former players (Larionov, Gartner, Davidson, Serge Savard, Stastny, Campbell (who is in for being a Bettman asskisser) and MacDonald)

Maybe its time to have the writers vote on this instead of this secretive BS. Burns would be in and Rogie would have been in years ago.

Question and answer pretty much. And really, what is wrong with showing a little sentimentality. I think WITHOUT QUESTION Burns belongs in the Hall. And CT even left out what? 3 Jack Adams trophies. Nobody can question whether the man belongs.

And Ed Belfour was one of my favorite goalies to watch.
The Eagle was a true joy to watch.
