Burns left out again. Pathetic. :suspicious2:
So, do Bure and Lindros get in via the Lynn Swann/Terrell Davis exemption?
a real pisser indeed... but i DO believe he'll get in.
a better case can be made for Bure - 5 50-goal seasons / 2 6o-goal seasons during the clutch and grab era is NOTHING to sneeze at... he remains one of the greatest and most electrifying goal scorers i have ever seen.
with Lindros, it's tough... i love love LOVE Cam Neely, but even i have doubts at times as to whether or not even he belongs there.
I think you can certainly make cases for both guys yeah. It's really a shame to see guys have their career's cut short because of injuries. I mean, let's be honest, BOTH guys would be locks if they played 80+ games a year every year. Lindros was the most complete player in the league for a period of two or three years without anyone even close to him. I mean, the guy looked like he'd be the best player to ever play the game when he was running over the league. No one could match his size, skill, strength, or will. But. . .everyone has their kryptonite. Same with Bure. The guy was unstoppable from the red-line in. Then his knees decided to stop showing up.
Part of me would like both of them to make it, part of me thinks they shouldn't be there. Injuries are part of the game and I don't know that you can say they belong there because they COULD have done more if not for health.
Howe? Really?
