Bobby Ryan is on the ice here for the Ducks' practice as usual. Been told there is absolutely nothing imminent with him.

This is one player i always wanted on the kings im not sure why but i feel he would be amazing here.

I think it would be stupid for the Ducks to trade Ryan.

Although if you read items 6-8 in this article by Elliotte Friedman it sounds like they're having financial issues that might be worse than people think. Had to wait to pick up Hagman on re-entry waivers because they couldn't afford the full cap hit, had to pass on Comeau because of money, and might not fire Carlyle because of the new contract he just signed and the money they'd have to pay him if they did fire him. That's a bit of a ridiculous situation to put your GM in. You never get great value in a deal if you're going to be that worried about the salary you're taking in return.

According to Bob McKenzie on TSN1050, the Ducks are looking for a 2nd line Center, a top 4 Defenseman, and a 1st round pick/prospect in any Bobby Ryan deal.

They weren't going to get that much (of any good quality) for Ryan.
