Default Brad Richardson doing well in Vancouver

Richardson has 4 goals, 1 assist in his first 11 games as a Canuck including the game winner tonight vs. the Islanders.

That's only 1 less goal than he scored in 59 games in 2011/12 for the Kings.

Glad to see Brad make the most of his opportunity on a good team. Go #15 !

He was a spark plug to the team during the whole Cup run, and it always frustrated me that Sutter didn't utilize him more. At least he got his name on the Cup, unlike Loktionov, who is also doing well (1 goal, 1 assist in 8 games). I will always be bitter that he didn't get his name on the Cup.

Richardson's offensive skills were never in question. It was his defensive awareness that was a real problem.

This includes 2 shorthanded goals. However, his shooting percentage is 36.4%, which obviously is unsustainable. Still, good for him.

You know Richardson will put up a hatty against the Kings.

Really? I have actually been quite impressed w/ his defensive awareness. Has also been a beast on the PK. (leads the team w/ 2 shorthanded goals as well as an OT winner.)

Has thus far been a fantastic pick-up for the 'Nucks.

Big fan of Richardson, always a team player. He will put up at least 12 goals this year. 8 more than Kopitar.

Over the course of his career, he averages a goal in every nine games he plays and a point in every 3.5 games he plays. I don't know that his "offensive skills were never in question". I always thought that his defensive shortcomings were grossly exaggerated around here, too.

I wish he was in our lineup every night. I'd have had him dressed on the 4th line all season long. Never knew why he was relegated to the bench here, always busted his ass and provided a spark.

I'm glad to see him find his niche. His defense was really subpar while with LA, especially when he was lined up at Center. His hustle was never in question though.

He's small and his defense is suspect. That doesn't fly under Darryl Sutter.
