Matters? Jeff Halpern has 4 or 5 goals. The bottom line is that the Kings are winning and he did not fit into the mix. If the Kings are winning and the players that you mentioned are not scoring, guess what is going to happen when they do?

Boyle, Frolov, Cammalleri, Randy Jones et al can score 100 goals each per season for all I care. The most important stat to me is the W column that the Kings currently lead in. I'll take that any day.

It's not so much that Boyle turned out to be a bust that hurts, its seeing that the Kings passed on legitimate NHL All Stars in Corey Perry and Shea Weber for him. Even guys like Loui Eriksson or Patrice Bergeron would have been great and still paying off, and if Bergeron didn't receive that concussion from Randy Jones in '07, he's likely an all star as well.

It just shows how much the Kings liked him and thought he was going to be a great NHL player, just didn't work out that way. It happens, move on.
