and now it looks like their net duo will ride into the sunset together... Moose re-upped for another two as well, and his deal's got a full NTC too.

So in other words... Marty pretty much gave this new agent he hired some commission.

Somewhere, Clark Griswald is smiling....
Surprised that both goalies were signed. Don't get me wrong, they're both great goalies, and more than capable. But, you'd have to think that the Devils will have to start looking, at some point, for a future guy to be in the nets. I actually feel sorry for the young goalies in Jersey's farm system. They were probably licking their chops at possibly getting some playing time. Now, they'll have at least 2 more years of waiting.![]()
A Devils' fan's take on the Stanley Cup Finals against the Kings:
"You guys are retarded. There are 28 teams that would KILL to be getting their ass kicked by LA in the finals. Show some god damn humility and stop being sore losers."
I just realized they committed 12 million to 35plus goaltending contracts for the next 2 years
Bit of a headscratcher there
I am dipping my toe in here...I can now come in off the ledge. Say what you want...diminishing returns, older, could go anytime...I love my Marty. And my soul has taken a beating the past few days thinking he might go. It wasn't financial...he just wanted that second year. And, I think he was a little jealous of the apple-polishing ol' ZP has been getting. He and Hedberg signing for 2 years just means Lou has the option to either keep developing Frazee(who could go either way) and/or Kinkaid(more likely, but sooooo young that the 2 years will do him nothing but good), or keep his options open for young talent. The likelihood that both Marty & Moose will complete their term is slim...but not out of the question. I'm happy.
What's your gut feeling telling you about Parise JD?
From what I have been hearing the Devils are definitely still in the mix for him, and Brodeur has been in touch w/ him a lot in an effort to convince him to re-sign. Are you feeling positive they will be able to get something done?
Gut feeling is that he is legitimately torn. I think he wants to come back...I am hearing that now it's between NJ and latecomer Chicago. All hearsay. The longer it goes the more likely he stays. If he has to go I want him in the west, and(otherwise) barring a signing in Pittsburgh/Philly(NYR were always out) I will wish him well and thank him for being a Devil. So, I have NO idea.
