I was just reading thru everything now. It's been time for Regier to go for a while now... and i'll never understand the Ron Rolston hiring.

LaFontaine has been ready for a while, and Nolan is a motherf***er with young players... they are gonna start playing real hard, and with pride.

good moves... now, onto identifying the players they want to move forward with.

Yessss, 2 of my favorite guys are back. Pat LaFontaine and Ted Nolan. NHL treated Ted pretty bad years ago and to see him back, just makes my day.

Oh and Hasek, you just sit back and cry now. Look who won afterall.

Who do you think they tap for GM? Due to Lafontaine's inexperience, I imagine they'll want to bring in a fresh face, possibly a first-timer. I'm a bit concerned they'll pursue Mike Futa. As a Kings fan, the thought of losing Hextall and Futa in less than 12 months is very concerning. I know Jason Botterill, out of Pittsburgh, is an up-and-comer. Lots of options.

It looks like Buffalo is approaching this re-build the right way, as opposed to Edmonton's cluster**** method.

Botterill played there, so that's interesting... good call.

when LaFontaine and Nolan were on Long Island for about 5-minutes, wasn't Neil Smith also with them?

they need to deal Miller, Moulson, Ott and Tallinder, and they can absorb a little salary coming back. those Leino and Ehrhoff deals are just hard to look at.

Ryan Miller is not one of them, and if Quick's out for the year, tell me there isn't a better place to trade him to.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

The more I look at it, the more there are plenty of tasty players that would fit into our holes nicely. The cap space is the problem, even if they are eating half.

How good would Ehrhoff look as Doughty's partner for the next 5 years?

Asking price for Miller is 2 1st Round Picks, and a 2nd Round Pick:

    Kukla's Korner Hockey - Kukla's Korner

That'll have to come down a tad...opinion on what they'll get?
