I can relate as a Kings fan.

1985 - Lost to Oilers. Cup
1987 - Lost to Oilers. Cup
1989 - Lost to Flames. Cup
1993 - Well, we know what happened that year.
2001 - Lost to Avalanche. Cup

These are only the playoffs that I remember. There also was 1980 (lost to Islanders - Cup).
