i honestly think it's too late to fire Gillis now. the time to do that would have been before he interviewed and hired a coach. i laughed when he was hired because if Brian Burke left them with nothing, this chap is gonna leave him with nothinger. i mean look, aside from the trade, when they took their first pick (and in review) the guys wouldn't stop on Vancouver having dick-all of a reserve list.
i do imagine umBerto and the owner had quite the tête-à-tête, which i'm sure involved the idea of Luongo's interest in sticking around if some stuff seriously changes.
