I heard so many things I'm not sure what number was settled on.
With the new CBA, what is the most a salary on a new contract can go down from one year to the next year?

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

The contract also limits salary variance on contracts from year to year to no more than 35% and no year can be less than 50% of the highest year
