    Default Claude Giroux's Broken Finger

His "golf club shattered and splintered into his index finger". No really. Required surgery, and he will be sidelined for five to six weeks.

    Y! SPORTS

Now, my question is, did the club shatter when it hit a tree, a golf cart, a ball washer, a bench, or the ground? Cuz anyone who's played the game knows that clubs often have a short life, especially when they "inadvertently" impact any of these items commonly found on a golf course.

I was curious about that too... how does one explode their finger when golfing?

Penner's injury is still the funniest ever, but this one has potential if we ever find out what really happened.

Did a baseball player not once injure himself trying to iron his shirt whilst he had it on?

John Smoltz, I believe. My all-time favorite sports injury is a hockey player pulled a groin muscle lacing up a shoe. Not that funny, until you find out that the player was Ron Tugnutt.

Hah, jeez, then two baseball players have done it. Brian Anderson's was different however, he tested the temperature of the iron on his face.
