Exactly - small, great skater, poor hands. Every team in the league has a guy like Cogliano.

That cool thing, for us, is that they are likely to use him as their checking center.

similar maybe, but i'd take Richardson 9-ways to Sunday over Cogliano.

besides ONE was a first round pick and the other, well, REALLY wasn't.

it'll be interesting to see what he ends up signing for... he's arbitration hearing is scheduled for the 21st, which was the same day that Brad Richardson was set to go as well.

I'd take Richardson's grit over Cogliano all day, every day, but aside from peaks and valleys among their respective skill sets, they do play the same role.

And I know that most fans, myself most definitely included, would take the guy whose hustle earned him that supporting role instead of the higher pick who sort of slipped into that role, even if the play on ice was an even wash.

I hope they did a physical exam on him first.

I wonder if he cried like Smyth when he heard that he was going to be traded?

He is below average @ face off's as well.

After his rookie year his production has been in steadily decline.

If memory serves me right, Cog's was also one of the pieces that was to go to Ott in the failed Heatley trade. His shelf-life as an oiler was obviously running out, and while I don't think RNH makes the team this year, perhaps this trade serves as even more incentive for Ryan to make the squad.

Anybody want a $5.5M checking center, because in a couple of years, that's what Horcoff is going to be, and they are going to want to move him.

If they develop as they should, a 1-2-3 punch down the middle of Hall/Nugent-Hopkins/Eberle could be scary good.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

    Isn't Hall a winger?
