Has anyone else noticed that, along with the rash of concussions we're seeing, we're seeing a lot less instances of ACL/MCL injuries?
Can't remember the last time I saw an "Out 6 months with a torn ACL" injury.
Why would that be?

Seems like alot fewer groin pulls as well. Might just be their off ice conditioning has changed to prevent those kind of injuries

For concussions, I'd love to hear the stats for #s suffered when wearing EPP helmets versus old school foam. Also, was the player wearing a mouthpiece? (I know their effectiveness was questioned in one study...)
As to ACL injuries: I don't know. Better leg strength? FBV skate sharpenings? Is there a trend for skaters using different, more shallow hollows?
