Congrats to Brodeur, that was nice to watch.

Hmmm I wonder where my Martin Brodeur growth chart is. I'm still pissed I don't have one of the Ian Laperriere growth charts.

That was great to watch tonight. He is so humble about his accomplishments. Next up...shutout #104, Win #600 or Stanley Cup #4?

Wins are also due in part to the team in front of the goalie. Don't get me wrong, Brodeur is good. He is definitely one of the best goaltenders the league has ever known. But, Roy was still the better goalie.

Better goalie? Marty never stormed off the ice and told his coach he would never play for him again. 100 SO vs 66 SO, better GAA and Save %, yet Roy is the better goalie? If you had one game to win, which one would you choose?

And now we have the same tired ass ignorant argument from someone who bases their opinions on trite incorrect heresay...Devils play a trap, they are a defense first team that limits shots on goal, they play inna swamp... and yet all Marty has done, year in and year out...IS WIN. Go look at how many 1 goal wins Marty has...The Devils, until this year, have never been an explosive offensive team. You may want to go back and look at some of the Habs/Avalanche teams that played in front of Roy. You are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong I feel it may be...I forgive you.

Congrats and all that, but a "Class Act" off the ice? I seem to remember him doing his sister-in-law awhile back causing the break up of his marriage with 4 kids involved.
    Yeah, real class act.

I've had the pleasure of watching numerous wins in Martys totals live back when I lived in NJ. He's earned it. A massive congrats to him.

In his personal life, oh yeah, he made a BIG mistake. He also married his now ex-sister-in-law after divorcing Melanie. But aside from his personal life, he really was a class act. Good with the fans and the media. As long as he's not anyone's Hitch he's a good guy.

Yeah, cause, you know, Roy played on some poor teams that had no talent.
