This is an unbelievable game. There's no one left on the bench.

Refs totally botched that game. I cant believe they didnt toss Neal for his headshot on Cotourier. Then Neal goes and headshots Giroux. I hope Shanny will be having a talk with him.

Neal and Asham have been summoned.

Let's see how Cindy does when she has fewer bodies to hide behind.
I think Asham is done, but Neal will fall under "star" and get the $2500 fine. The double standard was magnified by the Weber fine, and Shanny has lost all credibility in less than a year.
Neal - late hit, targeted the head x 2, if that doesn't get a suspension, the league should just fold their disciplinary department and stop talking about doing all they can to remove head shots from the game.
Actually Neal has two hearings. Which might be a setup so they can fine him 2,500 twice. I hope not though. I think he definately needs to sit a few games
Not saying i agree with Shanny but here is an article on Shanny's viewpoint

Craig Adams won't be playing Wednesday because of his antics on Sunday. Don't know what that bodes for the other 2. The main thing they have based the fine vs. suspension on is injury to the affected player. Clifford was knocked out of his game, Zetterberg wasn't. Couterier was; Giroux wasn't. But I would also argue in those cases, Neal had clear intent to injure, even if the object of his hits wasn't knocked out of the game. Couterier was clearly marked because he has embarrassed the **** out of Geno, who hasn't scored a goal in 3 games.
Looks like Shaw is getting 3 games for his hit on Mike Smith.
One of the flaws for Shanny waiting to see if players are injured. Smith didnt practice today and Tippett wouldnt say if its a maintenance day or an injury.

Shaw deserves the suspension. The way he has been playing, it was only a matter of time before he hurt someone. Hitting yes; cheap shots no.
