Not sure how to feel about this. I honestly think it is inevitable that Arizona will lose the NHL, but since it is my closest arena right now. I am happy to get to see some King games next year without flying anywhere.
I just wish this saga would end. That is all.
It will never end. The next chapter occurs in Atlanta, and then to South Florida, and the maybe to Nashville (if the team fails to make the playoffs for 2 - 3 consecutive years).Quote:

Not to mention the fans who feel like battered spouses at this point. While I want to see the team stay in Phoenix, I think this is a mistake. Another year of uncertainty is only going to lead to another year of lukewarm fan support. The situation needs some finality, either way, for this organization to be able to move forward. There's really no excuse for this team to continue to be in the bottom of the league in attendance. Back-to-back winning seasons and playoff appearances? Check. State-of-the-art arena? Check.
