I went to the Kings/Wild game at Excel Energy Center on New Year's Eve before 2010, and I just had to buy a Boogaard t-shirt because I always respected him as a fighter and a huge man on skates.
I will be wearing that shirt in his honor a lot more.
Rest in peace Derek. We will miss you.

I read about this hours ago and am still in a bit of shock! He was only a kid at 28!
