    Default Devils holding on to their first round pick.

    Deadline has passed, Devils have not notified NHL they are giving up 2012 1st rd pick. So, they're not giving it up this year.

    Anyone else surprised by this? I guess there is someone they are interested in with their 29th pick.

    This year is a stronger draft, so they are betting that future draft picks will not be as valuable. Chances are, they will have higher picks in the following two drafts, so its a risky gamble in my opinion.
