Apparently - according to Doan's agent - He will made a decision by noon today.
*Actually make that 5pm E.S.T.

really, I'm wagering on signs buffalo option for signing bonus and then retires!
D-Day in Phoenix... I've got a terrible feeling about where Doan will end up.
Vancouver I think is the favorite, LA and NYR are probably still in the running as well.
He really wants to stay in Phoenix, but has said he wont sign a long term deal with the Coyotes unless the sale of the team is done. The negotiations are at a stand still with Jamison & City of Glendale. And now CoG wants to renegotiate the original lease deal they agreed to w/ jamison a couple months ago. So unless something crazy happens in the next 24 hrs, no deal is getting done between Jamison, CoG, or the NHL.
Seems Doan wants to take his act to vancouver if the phoenix situation doesn't clear up.
Stayin classy!
Shane Doan
I chuckled a bit at the part where the author quoted the blogger where he compared Vancouver's 2011 loss to Boston.
Vancouver went down in a heroic scene like Boromir in Lord of the Rings. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaI don't know if many of you remember this, but back in 2011 the Vancouver Canucks almost won the Stanley Cup, before losing to some team from Boston was it? Well, many years have passed, and it has left many fans wanting another shot at eternal glory. And by glory I mean good glory, not the Sean Bean glory where he dies in a heroic scene, just short of victory. Vancouver doesn't want to be Sean Bean anymore.

Vancouver just announced that they've signed Burrows to a 4 year extension. I think this makes it less likely that Doan is signing with Vancouver. Burrows had been rumored to be the odd man out if Doan was brought in.
I think the Canucks could still be in on Doan despite the re-signing of Burrows. They have some cap flexibility right now w/ Kesler on LTIR.
https://twitter.com/sportsnetmurph/s...06052391911424#canucks Laurence Gilman says offer still on the table for Shane Doan, and the team is waiting for his decision.
Though Jim Murphy @MurphysLaw74 thinks differently;
https://twitter.com/MurphysLaw74Was told by source close to situation that Shane Doan won't sign with VAN and it was between San Jose and Phoenix but we shall see!
