Bad news for hockey fans in the New York area.

**** you USA today. New Jersey is it's own state. Look at a ****ing map.No wonder newspapers are dying. Congrats to Doc. I will always love him and I wish him well. I knew this day was coming...he needs to slow down, enjoy his life and get off the road. Thanks for all the years of great calls Mr. Emrick.

I got to meet him last year when the Devils came to town, it was well before the game started and he was walking around in the upper concourse. He was the kindest, most down to earth guy that you could ever imagine. He took time to ask ME questions about my thoughts on the Kings after I asked him a couple questions about the game. He was even kind enough to take a picture with me and with my sister. It was a special meeting and I will miss his call on Center Ice watching Devils games.

Sorry, I just can't get behind this. He may know a lot about the game but his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I miss Thorne. Oddly enough, he was also a Devils commentator for a while.

I really, really wish that Dave Straeder and Darryl Reaugh would get a shot at national broadcasts.

Hell yes on Reaugh. Strader is alright though I kind of began to appreciate John Forslund the last couple years.

For me it's the exact opposite. I like Doc & can't stand Thorne's voice.

Oh damn, I thought this was going to be about Dr. Naysay.
