Default Drew Remenda Taking His Dismissal in Stride

Sure, most members hate all things Sharks here at LGK, including their broadcast team. But I'm going to tip my hat to Drew Remenda for the way he's handled his recent dismissal. Within the linked article is this, which I thought was a pretty sound outlook . . . .

Still, he's determined not to fuel the fires with any trace of bitterness, in part because he wants this to be a learning experience for his 17-year-old twin sons, Davis and Donovan, and their older sister, Jordan.

"I wanted to show my kids that things are going to happen in life that may not seem fair, may not be what you think should happen to you," Remenda said. "It's how do you respond to it? You can be bitter, you can be upset, you can stomp around and have a temper tantrum. Or you can handle it in a way that's positive that allows you to keep your dignity."

I wish him the best of luck.

He's an a-hole and I love the fact that I won't have to listen to him verbally fellate the Sharks when the Kings and Jackets are in town.

That was a good read. Unlike most Kings fans, I'm OK with the Sharks. When the Kings were busy making tee times in March or April during some seasons, I enjoyed watching the Sharks play some great games, as they headed into the playoffs. One reason being the team of Hahn & Remenda. Those guys are my 2nd favorite broadcast team, behind a couple of legends in L.A.

I'm sad to see Drew go. He was one of the few who were the hardest on his team when they played bad. We got to experience that during the 1st round this year, when S.J. choked it away. It's a shame that their owners decided that wasn't the "right thing" for their fans. If their fans can't handle someone telling them their team blew chunks, get new fans. Pussies.

Good luck to you, Drew. I hope to hear you with another team soon. (Hopefully one I like.)

That sucks. Along with Dallas and obviously Bob/Jim/Nick/Darryl, San Jose was one of my favorite broadcast teams.

Dude, there are dozens of other color TV commentators in the NHL that are bigger Homers than him.

He's WAY better than the idiots on the "A" Team that stroke the Penguins, Rangers, and Blackhawks with both hands, in games that don't even include players from those squads.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Maybe he can be part of the solution that eventually teaches Hayward a lesson?

Not sure exactly the reasoning behind this. Drew and Hahn have gone together well and quite frankly they've been reunited already once due to chemistry. I may have given him some hard times but I do believe they try and emulate Bob and Jim (their ability to do so is in question) but in general they play it straight enough while rooting for their boys. Iirc last time they dumped him for Mcsorely and that was just painful for all parties. Considering this isn't the first time I'll go with he's pissed on someones shoes and they're playing their game.
