Ducks 07 vs. Kings 12

As you can tell from my account name I like both teams. I've been on the Ducks message boards and they were comparing the Ducks team now to the Kings Stanley Cup winning team. Most Ducks fans were giving the edge to the Kings, which makes complete sense. Then of course they bring up the Ducks 07 Cup team and go on to say how that team would OWN the Kings Stanley Cup team.

Who would you guys give the edge to and why?

Kings, because they were the 8th seed, and steamrolled through the everyone in their path.

I still can't get past that there are still some Ducks fans that think their Ducks team right now is better than the Kings Stanley Cup winning team.

I totally agree. Some of the reasons they were giving made absolutely no sense. The Ducks fan who started the thread was completely delusional.

'07 Ducks team was excellent. I don't know if they would necessarily "OWN" the '12 Kings, but I think it would be close.

That's perfect. I still give the edge to the Kings. Ducks didn't really roll four lines and I think the Kings top line would roll over the Ducks small 1st line. This all depends on which team is home of course for the last change. 2nd lines would be close. 3rd line I would give the edge to the Ducks. 4th line Kings and goalies I would say that's a wash. Ducks D was insane because of Scotty and Prongs, but overall I would say Kings got them there especially when Pronger would run a King over and get suspended. It also depends on which team gets beast Penner.

Both teams played great and got some breaks. I still think the Ducks got very lucky defeating the Red Wings. It all turned around when the Wings outplayed the Ducks in Game 5 but Scotty was able to get that lucky bounce off of Lidstroms' stick. But.... I DUN care, I've been able to see my two only favorite sports teams raise the Cup already.
