Player suspensions should also mean that player spot cannot be filled. This would make players think before they put their team down a man the next game.
However, NHLPA would probably be against this...
The problem is the players won't and player safety would be made an issue.
A random caller (or email) on 1040am here had a rather differentwhen you get suspended your team loses that cap space next year and opposing team gets the space. While it's nice and all than Keith is out, it doesn't help the Canucks in any way. In some situations, it could actually hurt the Canucks with Keith out if we needed the Hawks to win a game for whatever reason.
I realize it wont happen.
The NHL truly lacks any real direction. I dont really care, I just wish they'd just come out and say what they mean. Is concussion prevention important?
