I'm all for Leaf bashing, but my god.. Thomson played for Wilson SIXTEEN YEARS AGO. I think Wilson has grown just a touch in his coaching abilities since then.

If he hadn't I don't think he'd still be coaching in the NHL.

It's sad to hear, but very true though!

But lets say Toronto Maple Leafs end-up being the worst team in the NHL this season and Kessel puts up respectable numbers for them still, who gets the better end of the trade at the end of all this? Boston? or Toronto?

Very good point. The thing I still find funny is that many people on numerous message boards had Burke light years ahead of us in his re-build on the fly, and that his new vision of the Leafs is exactly what Lombardi should have done with the Kings.
