Thread: Earth to Toronto Maple Leafs

When you have a team that has gone 0-7-1 in the last 8 games is a time to start thinking about a change in movement with removing that so-called head coach Ron Wilson. They are the ONLY team that has yet to win (a) game.

In the last 8 games the Toronto Maple Leafs statistics has looked very sorry looking with-

-Being dead last in the league overall with only 1pt
-7 losses ties them for most losses in the NHL
-2nd worst goals against average in NHL with 35
-Worst offense in NHL with only 15 goals scored
-Having no wins puts them also dead last in the NHL

Ron Wilson has been called out by a former player Jim Thomson that played under Ron Wilson when he was with the Mighty Ducks with Jim Thomson mentioning Ron Wilson is not a good head coach, he doesn't know how to motivate players, doesn't know what to do when there is controversy from players, and when they are losing." Interesting read with Luke Schenn being bashed by Ron Wilson and Jim Thomson responding back to that.

Jim Thomson is right about one thing and that is Brian Burke is "a good hockey man". But if Burke wants to keep up his good reputation, then Burke better do something about Ron Wilson. I don't care if they are good friends with one another and that Wilson is to coach an Olympic team in 2010. SOMEthing needs to be done immediatley.

This IS a GOOD team, but just being badly coached by Rob Wilson in my opinion. With players like Kessel, Grabovski, Kulemin, Tlusty, Hagman, Stajan, Blake, Schenn, Komiserek, Kaberle, Beauchemin, White, Toskala, and Gustavsson.

JUST FIRE THE DAMN COACH YA PUSSY BURKE, BEFORE THEY HAVE YOUR HEAD ON A SWIVLE STICK.

Bar none, my favorite story of this NHL season.

Burke was on The Hour on Monday or Tuesday night... When the host made a comment about how GMs and coaches wouldn't trade away the entire team, he had a one word response: "Watch." Obviously he won't trade the entire team, but it was hilarious.

I'm with Kubrick, this is a great story! I want to say I wonder if they'll win 20 games this season, but I guess they need to worry about winning one game first.

And what makes it even funnier...they'll be the worst team in the league, but their #1 pick will be in Boston.

It'll be hilarious if they can stay winless until after Thanksgiving.

And I have said it before, Toronto was broken long before Ron Wilson got his hands on them, he is not helping, but it's far from being his fault alone.

i'd take grabovski, finger, 3rd in 2010 and a 2nd in 2011 for a guy we aren't going to re-sign...
