    Default Feeling pretty good that Kovalchuk passed on the Kings

    Guess he is trying to stay in Russia. Even if he is required to come back to the NHL, not exactly the situation I would have wanted to see the Kings in.

    He is just staying there until the cba is official. He will still come back.

    Since he's been playing for them, I don't see anything wrong with him staying for the All-Star game. I think it was lousy for so many US players to go over there in the first place but, why not stay and play in the All-Star game and then return to his team.
